App UX Design for Medical Data Tracking

Designing a single page application to speed up the filing of a research form, making it professial and easy to use in a fast paced environment.

Simplified the application, removing redundant buttons & making it more accessible including icons and images for further clarification.

Design Process

Understanding the Challenge

This project focused on simplifying a complex data collection form used in a fast-paced medical research setting. To better understand the workflow, I researched how temperature data was collected and personally worked through the existing form, collecting sample data to identify areas of confusion, redundancy, and inefficiency.

Information Architecture

Using those findings, I structured the form around the way data was actually being collected in practice. The information architecture prioritized the most important inputs, removed unnecessary steps and buttons, and created a more intuitive flow for quickly recording patient data.

Wireframes & Prototyping

I used my research to create an interactive prototype in Figma, with a focus on clarity, accessibility, and speed. Icons, imagery, and simplified interactions were incorporated to provide additional context and make the form easier to understand and complete.
