"A successful VR or AR wayfinding interface is not overwhelming, has an obvious select or confirm instruction, is overlayed over the world and integrated so as to appear a part of it, and it is visible against complex backgrounds."
While designing I always consider future technology possibilities & how tech is evolving. Looking forward helps my interfaces to be adaptable to new developments. In this case I'm designing for a future pair of advanced, everyday, AR glasses.
After identifying recurring elements for this interface such as buttons, button markers, and popup boxes, I iterated design ideas for these elements, keeping consistency for UI unity.
The final UI prototype shows a typical user flow of a persona trying to find a lost phone. The UI leads the user back to the exact location while showing the phone in space with X-ray like vision.
